I’ve built, bought and sold agencies. I’ve been a CEO in a big Network. I’ve sold my business to Accenture and helped integrate creativity into a Consultancy environment.

I work with all sizes of business. Right now my largest client has a $3bn market cap, my smallest client generates £3m fee income a year.

Agency M&A Advisory

I provide sell-side advisory services helping agencies get match fit for a sale.  I can connect you with my network of buyers and wider advisors, helping you to achieve the exit you want.  In the specialist acqui-hire space, I will represent you myself and find the right home for you and your team to realise enterprise value and grow.

The Chapter2 Process

Diagnose

Understanding the context, gaps, opportunities and tensions. I quickly get the root of a problem or see the space in an opportunity. This allows us to sharpen our objectives and ambitions, ensuring we’re answering exactly the right question or
provocation.

Design

The design phase turns our insights into intention. How will we solve the problem? How will we maximise the opportunity? From testing go-to-market hypotheses to shaping whole new processes, organisational design or products. Every design is
shaped with your growth in mind, whether that’s creative change, behavioural shifts or immediate commercial impact.

Deliver

I manage the roll-out of our new thinking, tracking against key metrics. Whether it’s internal alignment or external activation, we ensure the work lands well, drives measurable results, and embeds for lasting impact. Delivery is not the end—it’s the beginning of sustained transformation or performance.

About Chris

Chris McCafferty

Founder, CEO

Chris McCafferty is an accomplished founder, CEO, and marcomms executive with over 30 years’ experience in building and scaling agencies.

He was formerly CEO of Publicis UK’s Influence Practice and a member of the Publicis UK Executive Committee, helping to oversee a $1 billion, 5,000-person UK operation.

As CEO Influence Practice, he led the global full-service PR business MSL UK, sustainability consultancy Salterbaxter, and brand-fame specialists Taylor Herring, an agency acquired by Publicis in 2022.

During his tenure, he drove high double-digit growth in the Practice over three years and improved margins dramatically. Much of this success was achieved by attracting tier-one such as PUMA, Subway, Ford, and Apple into the Practice.

Chris also has a strong track record of entrepreneurial growth in the independent end of the sector. He was part of the original launch management team for MySpace in Europe and, in 2010, launched his own PR and social agency, Kaper—a joint venture with the founders of creative agency Karmarama.

As part of the Karmarama Group, Kaper benefited from private equity investment in 2012 and expanded through organic and inorganic growth to become one of the largest independent agencies in the UK.

In 2017, Karmarama Group was acquired by Accenture Interactive, marking the consulting giant’s first acquisition in the creative space.

Following this acquisition, Chris served as a Managing Director in Accenture Interactive, where he led the development of its Experience Agency, helping clients grow through the combination of left-brained consultancy thinking and right-brained creative thinking, prior to joining Publicis UK.

As an ‘agency native’ with 30 years of industry experience, he brings invaluable insight and guidance and is the perfect sparring partner for Founders, CEOs and wider executives seeking an experienced, empathetic opinion and guidance.
